Private Jet Charter to Coachella 2017
Since its inaugural year in 1999, Coachella has grown from a free-spirited hippie-fest to a can’t-miss cultural event for the A-list. Set in the desert town of Indio – 130 miles from Los Angeles and 30 miles from Palm Springs – Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is the place to see and be seen at. And the music is pretty spectacular, too. This year’s headliners – Radiohead, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar – are undeniably at the top of their genres.
How to get to Coachella
It’s lineups like this that make Coachella the stuff of legends. Unfortunately, the epic traffic en route to Indio is nearly as legendary as the music. Luckily for you, there is a better way. Celebrities and traffic-averse festival-goers alike can book a private jet charter to Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport or Bermuda Dunes Airport. Both airports are less than eight miles from the venue. Be sure to contact us in advance to book, as flying private to Coachella is hugely popular
The first weekend of Coachella 2017 is 14-16 April but if you can’t make it, don’t despair. The second weekend of the festival runs 21-23 April and offers the same eclectic lineup. Musical options span a vast number of genres, including pop, rock, punk, alternative, indie, electro-dance, rap and R&B. Some of the many artists performing include the XX, Travis Scott, Dillon Francis, Bon Iver, Gucci Mane, Future, Lorde, Justice, New Order and Future Islands.
The starpower at Coachella extends far beyond the festival stage. Eagle-eyed festival-goers – especially those with VIP passes – have a chance at spotting countless celebrities mixing among them. Just a few of the sightings at last year’s festival were top models Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss and Chanel Iman, “it” girls Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Paris Hilton, actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Jared Leto and Emma Roberts, and off-duty musicians Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
More about the Coachella Festival
In addition to the music, Coachella offers a head-spinning array of cuisine and art installations. Over 100 vendors set up shop at the festival, serving everything from wood-fired pizza and authentic pad thai to fresh vegan and vegetarian food. The Craft Beer Barn pours microbrews on tap as well as specialty cocktails. The beer list is constantly in flux as limited-release beers are tapped throughout the day.
For festival-goers looking for a more refined dining experience, Outstanding in the Field is a high-end outdoor dining venue that serves a four-course prix fixe dinner in the shaded Hacienda del Toro. Tickets for one of the dinner seatings can be purchased at this link.
Coachella is hugely popular and passes sold out just moments after their release. However, tickets can still be found through online ticket resellers like StubHub. General Admission passes, which include admission and parking, are currently selling for about $500. VIP General Admission passes, which are currently selling for about $1,250, are the tickets to get. VIP passes include access to two shaded VIP areas (the Main Stage and Sahara in the Rose Garden) with food vendors, cash bars and designated restrooms.
Just like Coachella’s wide range of music genres, accommodations run the gamut. Attendees can choose to camp in their own tents or in luxurious, fully-furnished safari tents, book a hotel room, or rent an entire villa with a pool. Once you secure your passes, accommodations can be booked through Curadora, Coachella’s official accommodations partner, at this link.
