The German office of global charter specialist, Air Charter Service, enjoyed 23% growth in charter numbers last year and a 31% increase in revenue, making 2017 the office’s most successful year since it opened its doors in 2010.

Caroline Werf, Managing Director of ACS Germany, said: “It has been a great year for all three of our charter divisions – private jets, group charters and cargo aircraft. All boasting growth in sales compared to 2016, with cargo seeing the largest increase. Helped, in part, by this growth, last year we were again voted as ‘Charter Broker of the Year’ at the World Cargo Awards gala night in Munich.

“It’s also been an interesting year in terms of charters over the past 12 months, including our work with Big City Beats’ World Club Dome event, for which we organised a fully customised Airbus A340 to take some of the world’s biggest DJs to the skies to kick off the huge party weekend in Frankfurt. We also arranged some urgent relief work down to Somalia, flying a specialist team and aid goods to Hargeisa to support the drought emergency response effort.

“Another pleasing aspect was that our Onboard Courier team, based here in Frankfurt, arranged almost 1,700 jobs last year, a growth of more than 50% year on year. We will be looking to open a dedicated OBC office in the city in the coming months.

“The results represent an outstanding effort from our team over the last year. A team which is growing fast – we now have 23 staff here in Frankfurt, increasing from just 14 this time last year and we are currently looking to hire more over the next 12 months.”
