AIR CHARTER SERVICE COMPLETES ITS PART IN LAUNCH OF NEW ŠKODA KODIAQ

10 May 2017

Leading aircraft charter company, Air Charter Service, has just completed a complex car launch programme for ŠKODA’s new SUV vehicle, the KODIAQ, involving flights to and from almost 30 countries.

The six week series of flights brought ŠKODA sales teams from all over Europe to Faro, in southern Portugal, for training and to experience the new offering from the Czech motoring company, in order to be able to better sell the product. Matthew Purton, ACS’s Group Commercial Jets Director, said: “This was a huge project for our team, arranging charters for more than 8,500 ŠKODA employees. We used 11 different types of aircraft types from 14 different operators, carrying groups ranging from as few as eight up to 240 passengers, and we had to stick to strict timescales in Faro.

“We had flight representation on every sector – 20 members from six of our offices helped out to make sure the programme ran like clockwork, alongside the team back in the office. Our Charter Concepts team worked with ŠKODA to brand the aircraft including such details as headrest covers and napkins. We arranged for sales teams from some of the smaller nations to fly into ‘mini-hubs’ before continuing to Faro. For example, the Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, flew into Stockholm to all fly down to Portugal on an A320 with their Swedish counterparts.”

The programme ran from the end of January until the middle of March and visited 29 countries along the way and went off without a hitch.

Maria Dvoryanchikova, Flight Manager for the CPT KODIAQ project at ŠKODA said: “We really appreciated ACS’s attention to detail and relentless determination and we feel honoured to have collaborated with ACS in ensuring the success of the event. The feedback from our employees has been fantastic.”
