Football teams clamour for early charter aircraft availability

Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has reported a larger than usual early interest for aircraft charters from football teams ahead of the new season - with fixture lists released just this morning. Following on from Monday’s first round League Cup ties being drawn, this morning saw the release of the English Premier League fixtures for the season 2013/14, along with all Football League matches. Alex Sadat-Shafai, Manager of ACS’s Commercial Jets department, commented: “Having known for weeks which teams they will be facing next season, the planning travel-wise is now starting in earnest for everyone as they look to arrive to games as fresh and relaxed as possible. With coach driving times anywhere up to 8 or 9 hours each way for some trips, a chartered flight of around an hour makes a lot more sense. “We are already booking flights for league games and have been extremely busy ever since 9 o’clock – as the clubs know that booking this early secures the best rates for their away games. There are certain teams, up and down the leagues, in the extremities of the country who regularly use aircraft charters for their matches, especially when there are midweek games involved and fixture congestion becomes a problem.” Sadat-Shafai continues: “Next week there is the first draw for both the Champions’ League and Europa League qualifying rounds, so we have a busy few weeks ahead.” Air Charter Service has a huge amount of experience with football and other sports team charter flights, to find out more, click here www.aircharterservice.com/sports-charter.
