Cram Field is a small, publically owned facility located less than a mile from the center of the city of Burwell which was platted in 1883. In 1887, the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad was extended to the town. The airport has a single concrete runway in service, which is listed as being in excellent condition. It carries out an average of 75 flights per month, split evenly between transient and local general aviation, with around 12 aircraft based there. It offers limited services such as refueling and storage in the form of tiedowns.
