Custer Airport, occasionally referred to as ‘Monroe Custer Airport’ is a city-owned public airport located in the city of Monroe in Monroe County. It was established in 1946 and was named after local resident George Armstrong Custer. It carries out an average of 33 flight per day and based around 35 aircraft. Traffic is evenly split between local and transient general aviation. The airport operates continuously and is staffed from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with after-hours services available through prior arrangement.
