Deming Municipal Airport is a city-owned airport two miles southeast of Deming, in Luna County, New Mexico. The airport was activated on November 1942, and was used to conduct bomber training for the United States Air Forces Gulf Coast training Center (later known as the Central flying command). The first batch of bombardiers graduated in March of 1943. It is estimated that 12000 cadets passed the the school.
