Diomede Airport is a public use heliport which is located near Diomede, Aleutian Islands, Alaska. It is privately owned by the State of Alaska DOPTF. & REG. It was activated in February 2000. Diomede Island is a small island of approximately 2.8 square miles and has one concrete surface helipad. A Caution for all pilots is to be alert as this helipad is in very close proximity to Russian Airspace and an incursion to Russian Airspace is a Civil Violation.
