Double Eagle II Airport is a public use facility located seven miles northwest of the CBD of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico. It is located on the far west side of the city, and is Albuquerque’s second airport after Albuquerque International Sunport.

Construction of Double Eagle II began in 1982 and the airport was named for the Double Eagle II Balloon, which was the first air balloon to cross the Atlantic Ocean, piloted by Ben Abruzzo, Maxie Anderson and Larry Newman.
