Douglas Municipal Airport is a public-use facility located two miles east of the CBD of Douglas, Cochise County, Arizona. It currently covers an area of 640 acres of land and has two runways. Construction on Douglas Municipal began in June 1942 for the U.S. Army Air Forces. Known then as Douglas Army Airfield, the base had six operational runways and 2,600 acres set aside for military use.
