The Finger Lakes Regional Airport was activated in June of 1943, during the second world war. It is located 2 miles south east of Seneca falls in New York, and is a public access airport, publicly owned and operated by Seneca County. The airport deals with a low annual volume of aviation traffic. For the 2011 to 2012 period, the airport handled only an average of 23 aviation operations a day, most of which was general aviation, but with a small percentage for military operations.
