Herlong Airport is a small, publically owned airport less than three miles from the centre of Herlong which itself is located at the extreme Eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in the southeastern region of Honey Lake Valley, 8 miles north of Doyle. The airport has a single asphalt runway, which is listed as being in poor condition with cracks and loose rocks. It carries out an average of 58 flights per month, most of which is transient general aviation. It does not offer any particular services except a tiedown option.
