Ocracoke Island Airport is a public use facility located one mile east of the CBD of Ocracoke, Hyde County, North Carolina. Owned by the U.S. National Park Service, it is situated in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It was activated in May 1969.
The airport covers an approximate area of 50 acres of land and has one designated asphalt surface runway and one helipad. Places to stay nearby include Blackbeard’s Lodge (1 mile) and Captain’s Landing (1.4 miles) from the airport. There is a free shuttle service to both hotels.
