PANGBORN MEMORIAL AIRPORT
Pangborn Memorial Airport is located four nautical miles east of the central business district of Wenatchee, a city in Chelan County and is named for Clyde Pangborn, who in 1931 became the first person to fly non-stop across the Pacific Ocean. The facility is 585 acres and has two asphalt runways in service, with one being listed in good and the other in poor condition. It carries out an average of 110 flights per day, most of which are local general aviation, with about 117 aircraft based there. It offers services such as refueling, tiedowns and major airframe repairs.
