The Person County Airport is located just under seven miles south of the central business district of Roxboro, in Person County, North Carolina. The airport used to be classified as a reliever airport, but according to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, the airport is currently categorized as a general aviation facility. In the 2011 - 2012 period, the airport handled an average of 95 aviation operations a day, most of which was general aviation, but with a small number of operations being split between air taxi services and military operations.
