REDDING MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
Redding Municipal Airport is one of two public-use airports located six miles southeast of Redding, Shasta County, California. The other one is Benton Airpark. Redding is used for general aviation, but services one airline United Express, which flies to San Francisco.
Originally the site of Redding Army Airfield, it was turned over to the City of Redding to be used as a civil airfield in 1946. It covers an area of 1,584 acres and has two asphalt runways.
