Salem–Leckrone Airport is located within Marion County, which is in the US state of Illinois. The airport is open to the public, and is owned by the Salem Airport Authority. The airport was named in honour of Philip Leckrone, who was a flying instructor from the area who fought during the Second World War for the Royal Air Force Eagle Squadrons.
