It falls under the private ownership of Shady Lawn farms and is situated two miles east of the town of Bannister in Michigan. The runway has a turf surface in fair condition and has the designation of 9/27. The field does not handle a high volume of aviation traffic; for the 12 month period which ended ed December 2011 the airport had only handled an average of 2 aviation operations per day.
