The airport was first activated in October 1969, is a public access facility and is located three miles north of Baldwin City in Douglas County, Kansas. The facility offers refuelling with 100LL fuel, but fuel arrangements need to be made in advance. There are also toe down parking facilities available. The primary runway is a turf runway in good condition with the designation 16/34.
