The Winifred Airport was opened in October 1953. It a public access airport which is publicly owned by both the City of Winifred as well as Fergus County. The facility is located one mile south of the city of Winifred. The airport primarily handles general aviation operations; for the 12 month period ending in September 2014 the airport handled an average of 29 aviation operations a week. There is refuelling as well as parking in the form of hangers and tie down parking available at the field.
