What makes MAKS Air Show important for the global aviation industry?
“MAKS Air Show is an excellent platform for companies doing global business. There’s an entire airfield dedicated to making new contacts and sharing the latest advances in technology and aircraft design. You make contact with businesses from around the world in person, in a way that would be extremely difficult outside the show. Our company AVIC comes here every two years for exactly that reason.”

What did you present at the AVIC stall?
“This year we had an exhibition stand presenting our new rows of aircraft seats for passengers and pilots. Our display gave everyone a chance to try the seats; the level of comfort and control they provided was really appreciated by our visitors. The Chinese delegation also presented an attack drone, Wing Loong I, made by AVIC. This unmanned aircraft is utilized by many countries to combat terrorists safely without risking their troops.”

What is your opinion of the MAKS Air Show 2017 so far?
“The skillful aerobatics of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and the L-410 were both impressive. ‘Helicopters of Russia’ was also a very memorable event – it was exciting to see those aircraft in action.”

How do you think the private aviation industry is doing at the moment?
“The private aviation industry appears to be in a period of enormous growth, with private jet charter becoming more accessible both to those involved in the industry and those who are just interested in hiring a jet. It will be interesting to see how this trend continues over the coming years.”
