The awards gala, held at the Cooper Hewitt on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is the highlight of National Design Week.
The 2016 award winners are a “who’s who” of the top names in the industry. In attendance will be Marlon Blackwell, a renowned modernist architect famous for his clean contemporary designs. Bruce Mau, the recipient of the top Design Mind award, is the visionary behind Massive Change Network. The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Moshe Safdie, who continues to inspire generations of designers.

The program allows children ages seven to 12 the opportunity to work with National Design Award winners and Cooper Hewitt team members on an interactive project geared to hone their design skills. The event is first-come, first-served, and takes place on 19th and 21st October at 4:00pm.
