Flying a billionaire to a wedding in Hawaii

The personal assistant of an ultra-high net worth individual from South-East Asia got in touch with our Singapore office requesting a private jet charter. The client was travelling in Japan and needed to fly to a wedding in Hawaii and back during the trip. Our local knowledge and attention to detail were essential to ensure the charter ran smoothly.

Our Solution

Route: Tokyo > Kona > Tokyo

Aircraft: Gulfstream G650ER

Our team reached out to local operators, sourcing several aircraft that could accommodate the eight passengers on a non-stop flight. We provided quotes to charter a Gulfstream G650ER, Bombardier Global Express or Global 7500, with the client opting for the G650ER.

Knowing there were ongoing difficulties with availability and delays at the client’s preferred departure airport, Haneda, we secured a slot at Narita Airport instead to avoid any last-minute issues. We also arranged a limousine to collect the group from their hotel and drive them straight to the private terminal, making their transit as convenient as possible.

The client wanted to depart Tokyo in the morning, however we advised that this would mean landing in Hawaii after customs closed for the day and having to wait on the aircraft for hours until it reopened. Appreciating our expertise, they agreed to revise their schedule so the outbound flight could take off later in the evening.

The Finer Details

Flight Representation: One of our team travelled to Tokyo to wave off the group and welcome them back again. This allowed us to quickly resolve any issues that arose, from retrieving a phone that was left behind in the limousine to transferring luggage from the aircraft to the waiting car when no ground handlers were available.

Delivering Beyond Expectations: We stocked the VIP lounge with the client’s favourite beer and snacks, as well as arranging early access to the lounge when they arrived an hour earlier than expected for the outbound flight.
