Flying a family to their winter home in Arizona

An entrepreneur asked for our help flying his wife and daughter plus the family’s two pet dogs from Ontario, Canada to join him for the winter at their second home in Arizona, USA. The request initially seemed straightforward, however our expertise was needed when logistical issues made things more complicated.

Our Solution

Route: Windsor > Scottsdale

Aircraft: Bombardier Challenger 601

We reached out to our contacts at pet-friendly airlines and sourced several aircraft that were available to charter on the required date.

Our preferred option was a Bombardier Challenger 601, as we knew the operator was reliable and had a large fleet of replacement aircraft to draw on if there were any problems. The client trusted our recommendation and was happy to proceed.

The passengers wanted to depart Ontario after finishing work for the day, however this would mean arriving in Scottsdale too late to clear customs. Thinking quickly, we brought the flight forward by a few hours and secured complimentary Wi-Fi so they could work onboard.

Our problem-solving skills were needed again with 24 hours to go, when the client asked to transport three pieces of custom-made furniture on the aircraft. Despite the short notice, we worked with the operator, crew and handling agent to find a way to accommodate the cargo.

On the day of the flight, our ACS account manager made the eight-hour round-trip to personally greet the passengers at the airport, ensuring they and the animals boarded the aircraft smoothly and that the additional cargo was successfully loaded. The client appreciated receiving such attentive service.
