Flying a rugby team to their game in Scotland
When Australia’s national rugby union team based themselves in France for a European tour, their travel manager needed help flying them to a game in Scotland and back. The team’s tight schedule meant they needed to depart from and return to the limited-access airport located closest to their training camp, rather than a less restrictive airport further afield, so our experienced team worked to find a solution that met the client’s needs.
Our Solution
Route: Saint-Étienne > Edinburgh > Saint-Étienne
Aircraft: Boeing B737-400
With only a small number of operators permitted to operate from Saint-Étienne, it can be difficult to arrange charters from the airport.
Leveraging our industry relationships, we sourced a B737-400 with enough space for the 50 passengers and their kit, before securing a special dispensation for the flight to go ahead.
The Finer Details
Flight Representation: Jordan from our London office travelled with the rugby team to ensure the charter ran smoothly throughout.
Customised Experience: We personalised the charter branded headrests and bespoke inflight catering.
