The Vodafone Gold Coast 600 is a thrilling high-speed race that winds through the city streets of Surfers Paradise. The race dates back to 1991, however a modern makeover in 2010 shortened the course from 4.47 km to 2.96 km, and the recently reimagined track offers fans better visibility at every turn.
The spectacle spans three days, from Friday October 20th to Sunday October 22nd. On Friday, fans can watch as the drivers get a feel for the tricky course during three 30-minute practice sessions, while on Saturday there’s a further 20-minute practice session followed by a qualifying race during which drivers vie for top positions in the 300 km main race. Finally, on Sunday all eyes are on the course for the heart-racing headline event.
Away from the track, there’s an exceptional lineup of top-notch Aussie musicians to keep spectators entertained. All ticket holders can attend concerts taking place on their ticket date. On Friday night, superstars Daryl Braithwaite and Delta Goodrem perform at the Broadwater Parklands venue, while on Saturday the stage is dominated by hip-hop star Hilltop Hoods, local alternative band Violent Soho and Sydney-based Dean Lewis. On both dates, Australia’s hottest DJs will spin tracks all day long at the 18+ Club 600.
