Panorama: July 27-29

Newport Jazz Festival: August 3-5

Held in the grounds of Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island, Newport Jazz Festival has been breaking ground in the live music arena since the mid-’50s. This year the legendary summer festival has a star-studded lineup, with performances from jazz stars including Sangam with Zakir Hussain and Eric Harland, Rudresh Mahanthappa Indo-Pak Coalition, Michel Camilo and Artemis. One of the world's most famous cultural movements, AFROPUNK attracts up to 60,000 people to Brooklyn, New York every August.
