Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has been placed 29th in The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 list, published in Sunday’s edition of the weekly newspaper [7th October] with the company’s sales growing by 39% to £479 million.

The list, produced every year since 2004, ranks Britain's top 250 mid-market private companies by their turnover over the previous year, from published accounts.

Air Charter Service first appeared in the league table in 2011 at number 158 after previously being earmarked ‘One To Watch’ two years earlier. ACS Group CEO, Justin Bowman, commented: “We have featured on the list several times now, but to be in the top 30 is an amazing feat. It is recognition of our hard work and continued growth over the past few years. We are delighted with our new position as the highest placed aviation company and to rank above so many well-known brands.”

ACS finished higher placed than football clubs Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea and household names such as Waterstones, David Lloyd Leisure, Caffè Nero and Dreams. The 250 companies named on the list have a total revenue of £66.7 billion, and make up around 3% of the UK’s GDP.
