Air Charter Service Trans-Atlantic offices combine for Le Mans debutant

ACS’s New York and London offices recently worked closely together to ensure that a Le Mans driver making his debut in the race transferred from London to the French city in double-quick time.

The driver’s US-based management company phoned ACS’s New York office to organise a jet to connect with the driver’s scheduled flight into London’s Heathrow Airport. Due to racing commitments in the US, the driver was on a tight schedule to get to Le Mans in time to meet up with his team mates and practice in their Aston Martin before the first 24 hour endurance race. With the help of ACS’s London office a Piaggio Avanti aircraft was quickly found that could perform the charter, and that was even able to get a suitable slot out of Heathrow.

Once he had landed in London the driver was met off the aircraft by security services, hurried through immigration and onto the awaiting aircraft. The whole operation was extremely smooth, and the driver arrived in Le Mans in the early hours of the morning.
