The town of Angola is located within Steuben County, which is in the state of Indiana. The city was founded back in 1838, and as of the 2013 Census there were over 8500 residents in the area.
The major attraction in the city is the Monument, which is often called the 'Mound' or 'Circle' by residents. The Monument was built in commemoration of the Civil War. The town was also home to Fun Spot Park, one of just a few amusement parks in the state, but a lack of visitors forced it to close its doors.
