KENTUCKY
Kentucky lies in the east of the south-central region of the United States of America and is ranked 26th in terms of population in the country. The state, which was originally a part of Virginia, is surrounded by West Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana and Illinois. The largest city in Kentucky, Louisville, is home to the famous Kentucky Derby - an annual horse race which catches the world's attention. The build up to the race is done via a two-week festival which includes one of the largest fireworks displays on the continent.
