Having a presence in South America was crucial when helping a family to fly across Chile during the busy Christmas period.

Flying a family across Chile for Christmas

We were asked to help fly a family of four from northern Chile for a holiday on the country’s southern coast before returning home again. The family were travelling over the busy Christmas period, when aircraft availability was limited and charter prices were higher, so we set about finding a budget-friendly solution that met their needs.

Our Solution

Route: Santiago > Puerto Natales

Aircraft: Cessna Citation CJ4

The client wanted to charter a newer aircraft, so we reached out to our local contacts and sourced a Pilatus PC-24 with a modern interior.

Days before the flight, Pilatus recalled several PC-24 serial numbers including the one we’d chartered, leaving us without an aircraft.

With no time to waste, we searched the market for a replacement aircraft and negotiated the last-minute charter of a Cessna Citation CJ4 at no extra cost to the client.

The Finer Details

Local Expertise: Having a regional presence gave us the necessary market knowledge to source a new aircraft at short notice when our first option was recalled.

24/7 Communication: We stayed in constant contact with the client to keep them updated when seeking an alternative solution.
